I know!!! I haven’t been updating this blog for more than a year now. Sigh. I think I lost all my followers and readers now and dang! this year I didn’t get a call from Nuffnang to cover Stompin Sabah 2011 event. What a shame. That was some easy money I made last year. All thanks to Nuffnang!

From no updates at all, here I am writing again in my blog to share the biggest ever news that I have. I AM MARRIED! Well, don’t say “finally” cos I really take that as an insult, I mean..what do you mean “finally”? I’m not some 80 year old single woman. If I am, I guess you have the right to say FINALLY.

To be honest, I NEVER expected that I will get married anytime soon. It was not in my plan. But I believe God has His own way of sending you a signal that “The time is Right and THIS is THE MAN for you”. So, as of 6th September 2011, I am officially married under the Law of Malaysia (haha) to the luckiest guy on planet Earth, Asif Pishori. (To be fair to him, I am also the luckiest girl on Earth) We just did the civil ceremony and will plan that big white wedding next year somewhere in July or August.

So, yeah, no pre wedding photos yet, no big white wedding and big reception yet but all of that, is in the plan. Unless, we decided we couldn’t be bothered next year. Hahah! But, I WANT!

So anyway, I just felt like sharing that bit of a news in my long ignored blog, I will post again in a few days time.

Amazing angmoh

Shane, my friend is one amazing angmoh! He’s only been here for a about 3 months, he’s can’t speak Malay well just yet but listen to him singing in Malay….it’s just AMAZING and not to mention that his voice is like HEAVEN ON EARTH okay?! I should’ve blogged about him when he was still performing weekly at Shamrock, Waterfront KK but I was just to damn lazy to bother writing anything in my blog. I actually suggested to him Samsons – Bukan Diriku to sing at that bar but I’m sad to say that I never got a chance to listen to him singing that song at Shamrock but I did however listen to a preview of him singing it whilst having dinner with him and Asif at The Place and it was AWESOME..!! So, press play this Youtube video, I’m sure you’d be in awe just like me.

And to those who’s looking for a good place to have a fancy buffet lunch, drop by Hyatt on Sunday (12.00 noon – 3.00 pm) I think they’ve started Christmas menu cos what I had there yesterday was yummylicious….was too lazy to take pictures tho…sorry bout that…maybe next time. xx

As I previously stated in my latest entry, I was given the chance by Nuffnang and of course invited by Celcom XPAX to attend the event of the year in Kota Kinabalu, STOMPIN’ 2010! I didn’t attend the event in 2009 so I am uber excited to go to this one. I’ve got 10 FREE tickets so I invited all my close friends to go see the concert and we definitely went home with a smiling face or was it smiling face and a stopped by at Edgar’s after ….. Hmmm…… We must’ve been hypnotized by the sound of GREAT music in Stompin that we decided to hit the club right after for some more music!! Yeah, that concert had that impact on us. So, to those of you who didn’t make an effort to go join the fun filled times we had at Jesselton Point, your lost! Hahaha! But then, don’t be too sad tho, there’s always next year so make sure your save the date for next year.

Unfortunately tho, the rain was scarily heavy that I was afraid it might flood and that I’m gonna be stuck at home but then it didn’t stop me from going to that concert! Why? Because I’ve heard mixed reviews about last year’s Stompin. Some said it was horrible and that it’s not worth it to go and watch but then some said it was fun and all the performers are great. so, that made me wanna go see it for myself. Can’t really trust what other people say until you see if for yourself right!!

I reached Jesselton Point around 7 p.m and got my tickets from Celcom people and made my way into the venue with my hot nieces! It was still rainy tho when we got there so I was a bit upset about that, and the tent for VIPs were full! So, we had to stand in the rain under my umbrella ella ella. Lucky I took my brolli with me, otherwise my mascara would run down! Jeez…. So probably next time, Celcom can do it in a place like Likas Sports Complex, so at least people can sit and enjoy the show, no need to fight for a seat and let the performers perform in the rain on the football field…LOL! Kidding….Anyways, back to the point, I really think Celcom should’ve prepared more tents for the VIPs and it’s rainy season so … go figure! Well, enough bitching about that..on to the show!

The concert start off with performances from local Sabahan bands including the bands selected during the U.O.X Campus Tour audition held at Palm Square, Centre Point KK a week before the event. I can honestly say, they’ve definitely got talent! I envy them big time! How I wish I can play at least one musical instrument, think I have to convince Mr.Pishori to teach me how to play the piano…. He he.

Toi from Akademi Fantasia played the overplayed Wondergirls song Nobody over the Angklung. Well, I didn’t find it annoying played in angklung mode, so Toi did a wonderful job playing it. No surprise he’s been winning international award for this. I’m so happy to be able to witness this man in action. Well, he did sing a Spanish song and all I can say is…better stick to angklung my friend. Let other people do the singing.

DJ Tony, Shawn Lee the beatboxer and MC Vibe did wonderful job as well! Besides doing their single act, the actually collaborate and made wonderful music! That was amazing! Shawn Lee is kinda cute, I fantasize that my niece Dewina is dating him.

LOL! The coldness of the night slowly fades away as the night was getting hot with all these amazing performances by the artists. Wicked Aura Batucada was a one unique group, although it didn’t really do me anything like te rush of blood to the brain or goosebumps cos its THAT good but it’s something new.

I’m sad to admit this but there were only 3 artists that I really know which was Ella (the long awaited performance), the collaboration of Dicken (sorry boss, I tak kenal you but you were awesome!) and Joe Wings and also THE LEGENDARY MAN KIDAL , to be honest with you, I was at the venue during the rehearsals and I saw this legendary guy doing his thing and he even came over to us to say hi!!! I’m NOT KIDDING! He really did. Well, of course I didn’t have a picture with him la cos I didn’t bother to at that time but when I think of it now.. I should have at least take A photo with him and brag about it. I probably should’ve asked him to sign on my chest also and not shower for a week! LMAO…Kidding. Too bad, I didn’t get to see the performance from Kulahig a Filipino band. We didn’t realize that it was already middle of the night when everything comes to an end. How sad, we wanted more! more! more! I hope that next year I will be invited to this event again. I’m sure its gonna be a BLAST as well!

Well….that’s my experience in Stompin Sabah 2010. I really did have a blast and I enjoyed the music minus the bad weather, it turned out to be a GOOD GOOD NIGHT!

Hey ya..

Gonna post up entry on Hennessy Artistry Party last weekend within these few days. It was a blast and I was shocked to find out that Joe Flizzow is shorter than me?! OMG!

Sorry for wasting your time reading this one. I stumbled upon an album of a friend of a friend in Facebook and saw this photo with a caption ‘She has one blind eye’. WHICH IS WRONG!!

If you look at the other eye, you can see the white area is visible but not too obvious compared to her other eye (sorry, I have problem differentiating left and right). My sister is a cat lover and she got about 8 cats at home so we can simply say she knows almost everything about cat care. So, this one my friend means the cat is SICK. The cat got fever or tummy problem (worm) and in need of meds. She is NOT a one eyed cat. With proper meds she will be okay in a week.

So, whoever that girl was, defo not a cat person.If not, she would’ve known that she is sick and not blind. Haha. I am just rambling and actually hungry.

Travel – Bangkok, Thailand

I travelled to Bangkok, Thailand about a year ago and spent three weeks there living like a princess. Stayed in a nice hotel, order room service whenever I want any time of the day and spent good times watching DVD / TV Series, exploring the city alone and tanning myself. Whilst I was there, I found out that Gil Grissom can speak Thai and so does Spongebob Squarepants. and everyone on The Amazing Race. WTF?! Spoiling the fun. Isk!

We stayed at Prince Palace Mahanak Hotel, 13th floor. It’s a 45 degrees view of metro Bangkok. So, that was my home for about 2 weeks before we moved to a smaller room in NovoTel at Siam Paragon. Wished we stayed there since day one though, although it was a VERY spacious and elegant room (but out of date TV set) with a nice view that Prince Palace Hotel, it was quite far from the attractions, (by attractions I mean shopping complexes)!. Where, staying in NovoTel gives me the freedom to just walk from one shopping complex to another. But, having said that, it was probably good too that we moved to NovoTel the last week we were there, otherwise I would’ve spent all my Bahts on week one. Ada baik juga lah. Thanks honey for that wise decision. Mwah x.

The big comfy king size bed where I spent most of my days and old fashion TV..eeeek….(didn't use that TV much cos everyone in there speaks Thai) and the place where I work on my hibernating skill.

John’s workstation which doubles as my dressing table. He spent most of his days sitting there.

Gah..apa lagi…dining table la… tempat makan. This hotel got some killer Fried Rice with Pork!!! So Yummy! I rarely eat meals here, mostly in bed.

So, all in all its a perfect place to stay.

Like I said earlier, I explored the city alone and it was fun! John was tied on UK working hours. That’s the reason why I had to do the most of the exploring alone, we were suppose to visit Vietnam and Hong Kong as well but it’s quite hard for him to be mobile when tied to that working hours so it was SAD for moi! But, not for long cos I started to enjoy being a solo Dora the Explorer. But, having him on that working hours means my sleeping and waking up time was totally fucked up too. So, I really really REGRET the fact that I didn’t get to visit the Bangkok Grand Palace cos it is closed after 12 noon and my waking up time is 1 – 2 p.m. I even made arrangement with the Tuk Tuk driver to pick me up from Prince Palace to go visit the palace. Rugi!!!

This is what Tuk Tuk look like and it cost around 100 – 150 baht for a ride to your destination and Tuk Tuk drivers are CRAZY drivers!! Bikin takut jak. Haha. But, it’s the easiest and most available mode of transportation. Don’t worry, it is safe, even though they are crazy drivers, they are also dedicated drivers.

First weekend there, we went on a night out and visited Nana Plaza, a red light district in Bangkok, rumored to be the largest sex complex in the world …. hmmm…. NOT SURE about that, I think Angeles City in Pampanga,Philippines which is also a red light district is just as big tho. Surprisingly, we had a lot of fun there. Who would’ve thought a vagina could make a ping pong ball pop out and fly thru the audience or a boiled eggs can go in and out of pussy so easily like that?! Oh and razor blades going in and out of you know where. My knees are weak just by typing that. Talk about awful job! Wonder how much they are paid to perform such act. Sorry, no photos of that, it was not allowed. It was something new for me. I guess you have to go there la and see for yourself.

Another infamous red light district in Bangkok is Patpong but we didn’t go there. One thing I liked about Nana Plaza was, they play good music and it’s fun seeing pondans drooling over my hot boyfriend. For the first time, I’m NOT the one who gets the attention. LOL.

Anyways, I made friend with one of the stripper there, gave her very generous tips and bought her drinks (the effect of too much booze) but forgot the name now cos it was sooo Thailand, hard to remember.

One thing I hated about being in Thailand is the fact that I am ALWAYS mistaken as being a hooker. At first, I find it funny but then when it’s making it hard for me to enter even the lift in the hotel, it’s insulting (should’ve start series of Aku Tersinggung entries long ago). I explore the city alone, remember? So, I’m in and out of the hotel quite often alone than with John. But even with John, seeing as he is an ang moh and I’m Asian, first thing that crossed their mind was I’m a hooker with an ang moh customer. And me going in and out of the hotel translates to me going there to perform a service. . Look at me!!! I don’t think I look like a hooker pun!

They stop me at the lobby and ask where I’m going etc or if I’m with John, they ask him the room number. Supposedly, they’re gonna charge more ‘cos he brings hooker back in the room. WTF?! We ignored it at first but I think John have had enough after a week having to deal with that, I don’t know what he did but it stopped after he spoke to the management. Show some respect to the GF people….please…and oh, another thing, people can never guess it right about where I am from. It’s ALWAYS Filipino or Indonesian or Thai for me. Never did one guessed Malaysian. So, in Bangkok, I’m a Thai hooker, just because I’m dating an ang moh. Couldn’t blame them tho, cos it is so popular there. It’s EVERYWHERE. But please, I don’t date him cos of money. I was NOT raised by my parents to be a gold digger but was raised to be Miss Independent. And , why NOBODY ever thought that it’s possible I am the one hiring him for services??! That’s he’s the man whore? And I’m paying him for services? Kenapa? Muka tiada duit kah saya ni?

Highlight of my trip was visiting Tiger Temple and that old fashion train ride along River Kwai. I remember John was so fascinated with the countryside, loved it so much and said he needed that to clear his mind of work and to chill out and I’m like “Ish!! What’s so special? I see this whenever I go back to Tambunan” – so not fascinated because I see it almost everyday.

We woke up at 9 a.m. for this particular trip. The earliest waking up time ever on that holiday. We wanted to visit that floating market but then, to go there it’s going to be a 1 1/2 drive and we have to wake up at 6 a.m. to be able to reach there before the floating market closes. Being the lazy ass that we are (we are the King and Queen of Sloth), we skipped floating market cos we won’t be buying fruits or veges anyway so it was not important. We reached the train station in time to get on that train and stop at another station to be picked up by our hired cab to our next destination, the Tiger Temple.

The train is operating on the famous Thailand-Burma Railway, there was a movie about it titled Bridge on River Kwai. The Thailand-Burma Railway also known as the Death Railway was built in 1942, it’s a 415 km railway built by the Empire of Japan during WW2. About 180,000 Asian laborers and 60,000 Allied prisoners of war (POWs) worked on the railway. Of these, around 90,000 Asian laborers and 16,000 Allied POWs died as a direct result of the project. Tiger Temple:

I wished they let both of us took photos together with the tigers but was not allowed. Entering the Tiger Temple, I had to wear a horrible looking soldier green pants cos I was wearing a short pants and it is not allowed to wear shorts (ladies) to enter the temple area. I think we paid 100 baht each to go in and honestly, telling you the truth there’s NOTHING great about this temple, it’s not pretty at all, it’s pretty much tanah liat everywhere and no rumputs and it’s a big desert like place with minimal sheltered walkways. Which was a pain cos to take photos with these highly sedated tigers, you have to walk for about 500 meters (I’m not so sure) and it was a long queue to take photos with the tigers but it’s worth it, you don’t get to take photos with tiger that often.

Khaosan Road is also the street I think you should visit when you go Bangkok, it’s similar to Chow Kit anyway, no surprised there but I bet you won’t see this at Chow Kit Road

Fried insects!!! Sorry peeps, I didn’t try those fried insects cos John was totally disgusted by it although I wouldn’t mind trying the fried grasshopper but he probably won’t get near me for a very long time so I skipped that and I was not too eager to try anyway.

And, at Chow Kit Road, I don’t think you will see such ad:

Shopping time:

I only found out that my classmate in high school Amy Angelo is working in Bangkok the last night I was there. Such a waste…I missed shopping at Platinum Plaza, supposedly a shopping heaven for the ladies. I spent most of my bahts around Siam Square, few good shopping complexes there and if you want to buy fake M.A.C Cosmetics and any other major brands in the world at the cheapest price imaginable,then you should go to 3rd Floor of MBK Centre. Not sure if the red shirts idiots burned that one or not.

Think I spent a lot on cosmetics because it is insanely cheap! Ranging from 50 bahts to 350 bahts. And I bought my complete set of M.A.C brushes there at the price of THB350 (MYR35) and I went and checked out the price for the original one in Siam Paragon and it was around MYR80 per brush and I couldn’t tell the difference between the original one and the imitation probably because I am not a makeup artist. So, yeah, if you don’t mind buying the imitation ones and happens to visit anytime soon, don’t forget to spend you hard earned money at MBK Centre! Oh and FYI, not too far from MBK Centre there’s this place filled with beauty stalls, forgot the name, they have this hair extension service and once again so damn cheap, it’s around MYR80 per line. Menyesal pula tidak buat dulu.

The place that I love the most was Central World, mainly because of its wide range of restaurants and food court. Haha! I can’t help it, I love food.

Its such a shame that the red shirt idiots burned it down.

I loved the movie theater in Central World. Especially the sofa seat and the McDs we sneaked in for the movie. Ha ha. Before starting a movie, they play this slide presentation honoring the King and everyone stands up when it’s played. Something new.

I love 3D movies tapi that 3D glasses menganggu lah! Watched G-Force in 3D. Rats in 3D. Boringnya…..

And I am happy to share that I learned how to swim on this trip! Thanks to John for being a good instructor and because I’m such an awesome student. Other than that, he taught me how to play pool and it’s not as hard as I thought it would be.

I also noticed that almost all the statues in Thailand are a bit pornographic:

So, all in all it was a great holiday trip and I gained weight and had to swim everyday for couple of months to get rid of my tummy fat and chubby cheek. I can’t wait for my next holiday!!!! Destination is to be confirmed. So, here I go again going on a swimming regime to get back in shape after a month of lazing around after my Bali holiday. Why do I always get fat post-holiday??!!!! Below is my travel tips but you may have different take on that.

Travel Tips:

1. You DON’T have to bring 5 different shoes.

2. High Heels shoes are NOT necessary, you’ll ALWAYS end up going to clubs on your flat sandals anyway. But, I tried walking on the streets of Khaosan Road in my 3.5” heels on our first night out there. Not too bad.
3. Bring MORE undies. I tend to shower 3 times a day so to pack extra undies is necessary.

4 You'’ll end up buying new clothes on your travels so don’t bother bringing too much clothes, and dare I say, you can recycle it 2 or 3 times.

5. Jacket. Airports and major shopping complexes and movie theater especially in Asian countries have only ONE default air-con temperature : FREEZING COLD. So, you gotta bring jacket with you.

6. Network roaming – handphone and make sure if your phone is prepaid, reload at least MYR50 or more. You gonna need it.

7. ATM Card roaming
8. Currency conversion

9. Universal socket adapter.

10. Netbook / laptop

11.A good book – for when your laptop batter die.

12. Extension socket (optional) – assuming that you gonna have to charge your digicam battery, handphone and laptop at the same time.

The Way You Make Me Feel

I posted this entry about a year ago and when I was browsing through my blog I stumbled upon it again and I have to say that I still feel the same right now. Happy and content. So, here I am reposting this entry because I love it and I want to be reminded of the good things in life.

“I must admit, I am a lot more happier in my life right now than I have ever been before. People around especially those who are close notice the difference I guess. And, I think the recent changes in my life are somewhat positive, something that I should be thankful and grateful for.

Never in my life that I imagine I will go through a heartbreaking situation, but, I did and I’m glad I got over it. It’s in the past. I am much more happier now than ever before. I must say, my life have turned upside down and all to the better. So, yeah, I’m awesomely happy. It’s true when they say, when one door closes another one opens. And I don’t care if it’s not happily ever after, as long as I’m happy now. That’s more important.

And I’m lucky to meet new people along the way. People who opens doors to thousands of opportunities for me to reach for the star. To believe in myself, to go get what I want and do things that make me happy because I deserve it and to not care what people think because the most important thing is you know what you’re doing.

To the people who cares for me, I don’t know what to do without the love and support from all of you. I appreciate the concern and advice given thru it all and I promise to be someone who I want to be, not someone that other people expect me to be. I know this is a mediocre update but yeah, I’m happy , as happy as I can be.”

Aku tersinggung ….. Part 2

Okay, I know for the fact that I’m 29 and NEVER married and NOT married.

But please. Don’t judge me because of this. It’s a PERSONAL choice and I am happy with my decision. If you read my past entries, you will know that I was in the midst of getting myself ready for marriage and was ENGAGED. So, obviously not the problem of TAK LAKU lah kan?Let me tell you one thing, the philosophy my brother and I believe in “ Cari DUIT lagi susah dari cari BOYFRIEND” and like my BFF Mama Carll said (tiru gelaran awarded by Yett dulu, hehe), “Duduk-duduk tengok Facebook pun boleh dapat BOYFRIEND”. Which is TRUE in so many ways.

And for people to just say this to me in Facebook is an INSULT!

Oh yes, I am NOT gonna blur out the face and the name. People like this don’t deserve anonymity.

So what la if I’m “tua dan belum kahwin” kan? But, to humor this subject, let me find a few reasons why I am NOT married yet.

1. To say that I am not ready is a lie, in fact, if the knight in shining armor (I prefer Star Trek spandex suit, btw) propose to me right now, I’d say yes, let’s get married! and call EVERYONE in my phonebook, update my status in Facebook and Twitter like every few seconds ~~(chronological updates prior to the moment after saying “I do” , you have to ‘hide’ me from recent updates because it’s THAT annoying.)~~ Plus, I personally think that I will make a good housewife based on the criteria's below, which I think are men’s basic necessity:

Maid of the house – checked

Chef in the kitchen – checked

~~Whore~~ in bed – emmmm checked.

2. So, number one is not really a reason huh? Okay … lemme think …. lemme think….

F4CK LA! WHY DO I HAVE TO JUSTIFY AND EXPLAIN MY CHOICE.

New York, USA
Melbourne, Australia
and the list goes on……

And, I might be going to Halong Bay, Vietnam with Nonoi this coming October/November. If I got paid for the ongoing projects I’m doing now of coz.

Let me tell you a secret anyway…something that I haven’t told anyone.

I married David Beckham before he was famous and discovered by Manchester United. We divorced after he did and few years later he married that ugly Victoria Adams. I could be the President of The Footballer Wives club now and having problem how to spend the fortune he made. That woman stole that from me! Hmmmmph!

P/S: I think Vic Beckham is HOT, just kidding when I say she’s ugly. Jangan marah. P.Ramlee kate nanti kene jual.

Today is a very emotional day. Last year I got a chance to celebrate his birthday in KK but I chose not to. How I wish I can turn back time . Now he’s thousands of miles away from me, all I want is to be with him. Again, damn why no direct flight to Bali?! I sent a birthday care pack to him earlier in the day and what a pain in the ass it was. But, it’s worth it.

Okay, that’s not the only emotional thing that I’m feeling right now, my brother composed a song dedicated to my mum and made me cry. I’ve heard it few times and still it didn’t fail to make me cry. Can’t share the song here cos it’s not released yet but I think there’s no harm in sharing the lyrics. Probably not as sad if you don’t know the story behind it. But, I know, so it made me cry and mellow for tonight.

So, there goes the awesome bloggers that I think deserve the award!! On to the next part of this entry, 7 THINGS THAT PEOPLE DON’T KNOW ABOUT ME. Hmmmm….where do I start?? I definitely have more than 7 but I’m trying to think of 7 interesting unknown facts about me (at least to some people).

1. Crazy love for Fuschia Pink!

Yours truly is easily attracted to anything in Fuschia Pink. Nothing against other colors but when I see things in Fuschia Pink, that normally make me wanna buy it. Even the BF is aware of this and he bought me a Fuschia Pink colored Stila products for Christmas which I loved very-very much! Some of my stuff in Fuschia Pink …

2. Obsession on shoes

Some of you know about this and some of you don’t. To date, I have give or take 130 pairs of shoes, nothing expensive la but who needs expensive when you can get a cute/sexy shoes for RM50 – RM100 (I rarely buy a RM100 shoes), right? The most expensive shoes I ever bought was a Eclipse shoes which cost me RM150 and the highest heels I have is about 6”. Why shoes collection? It’s because it’s whether you are thin or fat, your shoe size remains the same. I wish to post a photo of all that shoes here but I’m sad to say that 80% of that shoes is still with my ex, so I don’t know if it still exist or thrown out, which is sad if it is. (Would love to post of photo here but unfortunately at the moment, most of my shoes are in my car, will put up photo after I angkut all of it naik third floor )

3. I am a computer GEEK

I am trying to beat the stereotype tech nerd/ geek look. When we talk about computer programmers / network engineers or IT support, normally people would think that these people wear thick glasses and wears Star Trek / Star Wars T-Shirt, either overweight or extremely thin (for guys) and for girls, awful hair style, thick glasses, horrible fashion sense , basically a season 1 Betty Suarez.

Why I like computers? Even tho its annoying most of the times, there’s good money there. It’s really awesome earning around RM6000 a day just by training people on basic computer application but, only happens if you know the right people – if you’re on this side of the world, in Western countries, opportunity come knocking on your door! So, all in all I DID NOT REGRET I chose this field even if it’s a VERY UNGLAMOUROUS job. No way, you would wear something like this to work:

But, I always try my best to look fabulous at work altho I can’t be arsed to do it everyday. Doesn’t happen that much but at least I try . And no need to repeat it, previous entry was about drooling over (selected) hot tech guys. So, I love GEEK world. The people and the technology it creates. Just wish I contribute something to this field that I love so much!

4. ~~Animal~~ Lover (okay, scratch that I guess, I don’t like ALL animals, I only love cats and dogs specifically)

In my Windows Live Writer draft I have a draft titled “Tobey Lidi”. I intended to post an entry about this since months ago but never really go to it. For those of you who just recently follow this blog or stumbled upon it randomly, you might think that Tobey is a human. But, Tobey Lidi is no human at all. Fact, Tobey is a dog. Our family dog back in Tambunan. Well, to be accurate, he is my dad’s dog and best friend when he was still alive. I think this passion for animal runs in the family but I’m only gonna focus on my passion for cats and dogs.

I have this habit of taking pictures of ANY, if possible ALL dogs or cats that I see whenever and wherever I go, even on holiday. I’ve got pictures of Filipino dogs, Thai cats and dogs, Balinese dogs, Malaysian dogs which John categorize into one single category: THE ASIAN DOGS. . Some of stray cats and dogs piccies.

Another habit is to stop and pet the stray animals. So, when we were in Bangkok and Bali, whenever we pass by or a dog pass us by, the default word coming out from John was “Don’t touch it!”. or “ uh oh doggie, better run away, she will dognap you” or simply just drag me away from the animal cos I couldn’t resist the urge to go and pet the dog or at least say “hi puppy, what’s your name?”. And I don’t mean that as a joke, I really do ask the dog it’s name. One other weird thing that I love to do whenever we go back to Tambunan is to count the dogs we see along the way. Normally, it’s around 90 over dogs. Counting starts from Kasigui. As for cats, I do love cats too but not as obsess with it. I love this picture of me with a ‘cat’ the most:

5. Reading every ~~fucking~~ road signs / billboards out loud when in the car – especially if not driving.

I don’t know why but I notice everything around especially road signs, billboards and signboards. And I tend to read it out loud. Strange. But then, it’s also good because I can be the human GPRS because of this. To add some humor to this, because of this habit, I see things like this: (I didn’t Photoshop this, SERIOUSLY)

It pays to be observant. Hahahahahaha.

6. I can make realistic dog’s bark and cat’s meow. Even the cats and dogs bought it. I always do that with our pets and it’s fun to see the curiosity on their faces. GOLD!

7. I was a DIE HARD Feminin and Spice Girls fan.

I bought the Spice Girl’s Impulse Body Spray and very proud of it. Tambunan don’t have it, so need to go to KK to buy it. Jadi..banggalah I di kalangan teman-teman.

Making me feel inferior! I haven’t done anything impressive like developing and designing a game whatsoever. Wish I came up with that Farmville or Barn Buddy idea! .

I have always had my EYES on guys in TECH world. Even the few exes before JW were TECH Guys too. How bout you? Do you notice that you always have your eyes on the same type of guy? I mean not on everything but maybe one or two. Mine seems to be the ABILITY TO MAKE SOMETHING OUT OF PROGRAMMING LANGUAGES. .I find it EXTREMELY IMPRESSIVE AND CHARMING.

The only program I ever tried to develop was my Final Year Project – ONLINE SCHEDULING SYSTEM using VB and my BFF Florida developed an interactive courseware on Human Body functions with Flash . We got a B for that, not bad eh?

Okay, gonna have dinner with my brother and continue work. Geez! It’s 11.20pm and England is leading by 1 goal against Slovenia. (not watching, it’s my background sound)

And oh, CONGRATULATIONS to my dearest friend Jonay Mangabun and wife, Wisiah. He’s gonna be a baby daddy soon!!!!

Camwhore Fail

Which girl doesn’t love camwhoring (self-shot photos)?! Tell me! I think these days everyone does that! Even the guys. LOL. I am a pro when it comes to camwhoring, I shamelessly admit that I take a GOOD camwhore photo of myself. While cleaning up my desktop from duplicate datas, I browsed thru my picture folders and almost 70% are self-shot photos. And I stumbled upon a few that I like, such as these:

But, I have one problem tho. I noticed that I always fail to take a good camwhore picture with him, I’ve tried many times and still didn’t quite get it right. If I hold the camera, it turned out like this:

So, during my last trip to Bali, I tried camwhoring with him again and I don’t even have to post the pics here cos you know how it turned out, just like the two up there! Makes me think, could it be because of the height differences? Hmmmm…… … he’s 6’4” and I’m 5’5”, so maybe that’s the problem? I need pill for tallness!! LMFAO - such pill do exist, believe me, I googled that. But, to be honest, I don’t want to be taller than what I am now if I have to take pills for it. Quite embarrassing to even consider taking pills for that. OMG

UPDATE: A hate comment was posted earlier by some coward anonymous bitch/asshole, so from now on, comments are moderated. Haha. In your face ANONYMOUS. Wrote something like this:

Well, this is what I think:

1. You googled "camwhore" and my blog showed up in Search Result and to your dissapointment I AM NOT A CAMWHORE or CAMSLUT. Jeez....why do you need google for that? Can directly go to REDTUBE or XVIDEOS for that. See, I’m such a nice blogger, I put up the links here for you . Such a pervert Googling “CAMWHORE FAIL”. Shame on you.

2. Either you are some UGLY Asian chick or some ANGMOH girl who thinks I'm a GOLD DIGGER or a SPG. If you are my assumption no. 1, go get a plastic surgery in Phillipines or Korea so you don't get insecure aronud people like me.LMFAO. If you are my assumption no.2, I probably earn MORE than you so get over it and start a blog yourself and post your camwhore pictures also la. Not all of us the Asian girls who date angmohs are sluts in for the moolahs (money). It can be just as simple as: HE IS DAMN CUTE AND HOT la and we get along very well. Duh. I finally acknowledge that even after five years together, it was right to step back and walk away. Walking away is one of the most difficult decision I have ever made in my life even if I’ve decided it’s the right thing for me. But, it needed to be done. I must stop taking personal responsibility for his happiness and I stopped making myself accept his unacceptable behavior. I stopped making excuses for his behavior and mine. I accepted that he will always be the jealous and hot tempered type and I could not fix that.

I’ve heard couple of versions of this break up from friends and I don’t know if he was responsible for it all or it’s just a mere speculation made by others, to make the story interesting. But, up to this entry, I can proudly say I never kiss and tell nor did I ask for sympathy votes from anyone. I decided to keep my mouth shut about it, only confiding to close friends and family but I think now that it’s over a year, it’s only right I say something about it, my side of the story. I know I am NO ANGEL but it doesn’t give a right for you to put all the blame on me. I am NOT ready to be Akon.

I don’t mean this entry to be condescending to my ex. Heck, I don’t even know what he told everyone about this problem. But, what I heard from reliable sources are:

1. He’s been telling people our dirty laundry, things behind closed door, things like:

a) Nancy selalu lambat bayar bil elektrik

Kalau lambat pun, thing is I DID PAY kan?

b) Nancy boros berbelanja, kuat pakai duit and that you have to rescue me when I ran out of money before the end of the month.

I agree with you, I do spend a lot but IT WAS MY MONEY and I can even count with my fingers how many times you ever bought anything for me at all, be it Valentine’s gift, Christmas or Birthday gift. It’s really quite embarrassing that I have to request a gift from you. And as for you having to rescue me, I think it’s acceptable since you were my fiancé and I was engaged to you, if not you, who else do I turn to?

c) Nancy berubah gara-gara anak-anak buah dia, dia sudah tua sepatutnya tidak terpengaruh dengan anak-anak buah dia.

I am close to my nieces and I am older than them, I can make my own decision and I choose to go out with them instead of some people you don’t know. I remember I did invite you once before and you become the sour puss of the bunch making everyone uneasy. Plus, you have your own circle of friends, why don’t you go out with them? We work together, stay together, I need some space. It was probably a mistake living together so soon. But, I never regretted that because it showed me who you really were.

d) Nancy curang

When we were together, I NEVER CHEATED ON YOU. I think it’s normal that when you go to a club, people would want to talk you, buy you drinks, you can’t be so arrogant and not talk to them. I am not a stuck up bitch. I know you like to think that I did, so you have reasons to hate me and make me look bad in front of everyone and make you look like a victim of the situation. Sympathy vote. How convenient. I know, it’s easy for people to believe this story seeing who I am and looking at you like that.

e) “Keluarga Nancy tidak suka saya sebab saya miskin”

That was NEVER the case, if they did not like you because of that, we wouldn’t be engaged in the first place. Personally, I think you never wanted to change our live, you were so complacent with what we had. You didn’t try hard enough to make our life better, it was always up to me to think about that. I am tired of making decisions. Now that we are NO longer together, I can see you trying to change for the better, new job, new car, new look, which is good for you and I am happy for you. Really. Makes me wonder, why you never wanted to do that when we were together? That was what I always wanted. I think if we’re still together now, chances are you’d still be here.

f) I give you two months, dia akan menderita tu tinggal dengan abang dia, dia merangkak tu nanti balik sama saya.

I’m sorry that it didn’t happen (me crawling back to you begging for you to take me back). I am happy with my life now, closer to my family than ever and happy with my new relationship even if I don’t know where it’s gonna lead me yet but at least I’m happy.

What you forgot to tell people are these things:

1. I contribute in everything. I pay half the house rent, water and electricity bills and I pay about 80% of the car loan monthly because I earned more than you, I feel obliged to do so because I love you and I don’t want to burden you.

2. I never ever forgot to buy you gifts on special occasions like Birthday and Christmas, where you choose to ignore those things.

3. You are one hot tempered ~~asshole~~ who gets physical when you are angry. I think you failed to mention that in your stories about the break-up. I’m sorry Ex, I do not want to spend my life with someone who’s hot tempered.

4. You NEVER wanted to face the argument in front of you. You always choose to walk away whenever we have arguments to be settled. And I have to be responsible to make you happy when I know deep inside I want to speak out my mind. I always have to be the one who apologize and say nothing about it. Well, guess what, I’ve had enough! I hope you find someone who always think you are right.

And now, when I think about all that, I can say I made the right decision and I feel free….

But the be fair, 5 years with you, it was not always bitter, we have had our great times and it was not all bad. I am sorry that it happened this way, I may have break your heart but it’s better now than later in life when we have more things to regret. I forgive you for all the bad things you told people about me, especially the colleagues. I even heard rumors that they call me Devil Wears Prada, I’m flattered but to tell you the truth I can’t afford Prada yet, maybe next year. Fingers crossed.

Hi people. I am sick but didn’t get MC from clinic. Boo Hoo…..

So, I’m quite unproductive at work today. So, I played with Photoshop for a bit.

Hahahaha. Sya akun kalah la.

Jam: 8.13 malam. Ketidakproduktifan bersambung sehingga lah saya sampai di rumah. Then, I decided to do MORE Photoshop-ing. In case you’re wondering who’s that girl I PSed when I was at work earlier, she’s my college friend, Lisa. It’s not some random people I saw on the Internet. *SHE LOVED IT*

Okay, my point is, yesterday I was WORRIED SICK THE WHOLE DAY and was not having a good sleep, keep checking my phone for text reply or delivery report because I didn’t hear anything from JW at all! I’m so not used to that situation where I don’t get to talk to him be it Skype, MSN or text messages. When you care for someone, such feelings are bound to happen I guess. Honestly, I even skipped lunch and dinner, tried to keep myself busy because a lot of imagination came to mind and mostly worst imagination ever. Gosh! I should stop being paranoid but Piscean are like that. It’s written in the stars. Have you ever felt that way when you really care about someone? And for the first time after so many weeks that NONE of my neighbors in Barn Buddy were able to steal anything from me. HAHAH for that! So, to cut a long story short, I was in a very unstable mood and I don’t like it. Don’t you hate it when someone have such an effect on you? That he’s in control of your emotion, no matter how strong you think you are, how matter how good you are in trying to make yourself feel better? I definitely think that:

1. I am in control of my emotion

2. I am stronger (dealing with feelings not pushing a 40 passengers bus with my middle finger strong)

3. I know better

But, guess what? When feelings and love take over your emotion, everything else pretty much goes down the drain, so I guess all that I AM CONTROL OF MY EMOTION, I AM STRONGER AND I KNOW BETTER speech are pretty much BULLSHIT.

Anyways …. it’s okay now. He’s safe and sound in Bali and that crappy hotel do not have Internet (WTF?), so guess what? I’m going to Bali this Saturday!!! Well, at least plan to, we see how it goes! *flights quite expensive and lots of stop over* Airasia, it’s time to make a KK-Bali direct flight!

Lao Tiko: lecherous pervert (said Xiaxue)

I’m sure many of us girls have at least encountered this type of men ONCE in her life. Best thing is to ignore this kind of orang tua and move on but what if you’re truly honestly GELI with that guy that ignoring simply won’t do it?

I faced this problem recently but thank God it’s over. My interest to get acquainted with this man was purely professional and was hoping that it will be a stepping stone to me in my career, my plan is to work with international company, start small and slowly make it big. Plus, I think it will be a good experience even if that don’t happen. At least, you tried and you worked with some foreign companies and learn their work culture. Good knowledge and can help you get ready for the next opportunity.

But, to my disappointment that was not the case. Apparently this lao tiko likes me beyond professional and he told me that. Appreciate the honesty Mr, but I’d prefer you to keep it to yourself. I can already sense it since the beginning but I tried to ignore it thinking that I was thinking too much and tell myself “Nancy, not everyone likes you bah”. So, I tried my BEST to ignore semua kata-kata yang menggelikan itu dan psych myself into thinking “This is a good learning experience, you will learn a lot from this guy”. Which is actually TRUE kalu dia tidak gatal-gatal. Quite a nice portfolio he have and to be able to have a chance to learn from such a successful man is like the biggest opportunity that you can ever get in your life.So, why would want to miss that chance when it’s already in front of your eyes. Right? That’s why I tried my best to stick to my decision to work with this lao tiko and ignore the minor flirtation.

After a few weeks, I thought enough is enough! I can’t take it anymore. I quit! It’s NOT worth it. I quit for some many reasons:

1. I keep thinking of escape routes whenever I’m at the office, hard to focus, I’m preparing myself for what if I’m being held hostage? What should I do?

2. I texts up to three people of my whereabouts and the address of where I’m going, which I don’t do when I go and see other people. “If you don’t hear from me 3 hours from now, I’m in trouble.” I became such a paranoia bitch. P/S: I completely MIA when I went to see JW months ago. Which means, I feel safe with him. So, I didn’t text my little bro and close friends of where I’m going cos I didn’t want to be found. Haha!

3. It’s one thing to deal with a middle aged lao tiko man, it’s another thing to deal with a middle aged lao tiko man who thinks he’s GOOD LOOKING and ATTRACTIVE when all you can see is a T-REX in front of you. Hari ini adalah hari menulis blog dalam Bahasa Melayu. Para pembaca sekalian, harap maaf jika ayat-ayat di dalam blog ini terlalu skema dan membuat anda rasa segala bulu roma berdiri ketika membaca. Ini kerana saya tidak pandai menulis dalam Bahasa Melayu rojak walaupun saya selalu bertutur mengikut ‘slang’ tersebut ketika berkomunikasi dengan rakan-rakan sepejabat (it’s a sense of mockery to that slang and we were not trying to be KL-ian)

I guess my attempt to write in Malay will take me quite some time to finish this entry. So, I decided to stop and write in a language that I am comfortable writing in. English! Yes, yes, most of us are too westernized but we are not Malays and I can speak Dusun very well so stop judging!

So, probably a lot of younger generations have no idea what this Lagenda Budak Setan is. But, those my age and are book worms will definitely know about this book, even if you didn’t read it. It was a BEST SELLER way back when and I am very sure that every girl in my class read this book. It’s a classic. I remember my friend, Capri was so engrossed in reading this book, she finished reading it in a day!! And it’s a almost 500 pages book. That got me interested to buy that book so I did! And although I didn’t finish reading it in a day but it was a good love story, I can say it’s the same level with The Notebook and Dear John. But, even if I found it sad and interesting, my favorite book from this author Ahadiat Akashah was not Lagenda Budak Setan. My favourite was Pilot Cafe! Readers my age (if any), still remember that one? Anyways, I bought a lot of his books back then. Untuk Semua Gadis Yang Pernah Ku Cintai was also one of them.

What inspired me to post this entry is that I was checking the showing schedule for Iron Man 2 when I saw ‘Lagenda Budak Setan’ on coming soon category in that website and it brought a smile to my face and thought “they made a movie, finally!” and I searched for the trailer on YouTube so here it is:

I am quite dissapointed with the choices of actors. Farid Kamil and Que Haidar??!! I guess Farid Kamil is quite acceptable but Que Haidar??!! Siapa bah yang rasa dia hensem ni? Hah? Kalau saya la si Ayu kan, dari awal lagi bah saya tau sudah sya tidak mau kahwin si Azmi oh. My choices of Kasyah and Azmi would be:

1. Ebi Kornelis

2. Azwin Andy

3. Awal Ashaari (to play Azmi in the movie)

The choices of actresses is not so bad. I think they can portray the beauty of the girls in LBS. Sebab, kalu kamu baca tu buku, ko akan imagine muka durang kan macam Greek goddesses lagi ni so the actresses the chose for the movie is acceptable la.

I am so excited to watch this movie because it brings back college memories. How wonderful it was being a student. Students believe me, you will miss college years once you start working, it might feel like hell now being at school but it’s double hell being at work. And thing is you always gonna feel like you are underpaid when you were not. LOL. Well, thats grown up for ya. Never satisfied. Always wanting more but I guess that’s normal. When you stop wanting more and achieve more in life, there’s something wrong.

Ok, back to the movie. I’m not expecting it to be as good as it is in that book but I keep wondering how will they summarize over 10 years story in to a 1 1/2 hour movie. I hope its good, and one thing I wish is to watch this with my two friends Capri and Ida. I’ll drive!!!! Hehehe.

The Beauty and Curse of Makeup

Hi.

First of all, I don’t mean to offend anyone or degrade anyone by this entry. And I really really apologize to this girl if this entry insults her but I think whoever did the makeup deserve MAJOR PUNISHMENT! Its totally makeup gone wrong!

Makeup is a blessing bestowed upon females all over the world and *some* males but at the same time, when done wrong it could be your worst nightmare! And, its definitely more heartbreaking when you trusted someone to do your make-up for you and that person did it all wrong.

Story is…I was browsing through some Unduk Ngadau (Traditional Beauty Pageant) pictures uploaded in Facebook and stumbled upon something rather ‘disturbing’. Apparently 70+ comments on that picture and I can’t help myself but write a comment myself. When I saw that picture I automatically knew that its a makeup sin! And her ‘BEFORE’ picture was also uploaded and believe it or not, her BEFORE picture was WAAAAAAAY better than the AFTER picture. I really really pity this girl, I bet a lot of people were paying attention on her during the pageant but for all the wrong reasons. *Sigh* But I say, YOU GO GIRL!! It’s clearly not your fault and I think your makeup artist should be sued for that horrible makeup art and that hair do! I may not be a makeup guru but at least I know 100% that I can do a better job on you than that person!

So, here’s the picture I’m talking about,

What’s wrong with the makeup:

1. Eyebrow too thin, too black

2. Eyeshadow – wrong choice of colors, it should be earth colors and its not properly blended

3. Where the eye-liner man???

4. Come one, fake eyelashes only cost about less than RM10 these days…if the makeup artist (shouldn’e be called one now!) is against fake eyelashes then what happen to MASCARA??!

5. Lip color – I don’t think lip liner is necessary, and should’ve gone for lip gloss or at least shiny lipstick with softer color, too red making the teeth look yellow.

So, what I did for about 30 minutes was to reconstruct a better look for this contestant using Photoshop, I know its NOT perfect but what can I do if the picture size is SO small, I can barely do anything on it? Plus, the fail makeup artist did a lot of damage already, its quite hard to fix it with Photoshop.

So, this is my correction on the MAKEUP & HAIR

SIDE BY SIDE:

Not much can be done on eye shadow tho, pic resolution is so low, its quite hard to do any tweaking on it.

SPEAKING OF ONE LINE EYEBROW, I HAVE NO FUCKING IDEA WHY I THINK I LOOK GORGEOUS WITH ONE…I’M ALSO GUILTY OF THIS OFFENSE

But I learn from mistake and now it look better:

Just got home from dinner with my two elder brothers, it’s my bro Leo’s 40th birthday!!!! Oh My….time flies……gonna go shower and lay in bed now. Quite sleepy.

P/S: If you think you can tweak that makeup and make it better than original please do so, I’d like to see results, this girl is gorgeous, she’s just a victim. Poor her. And I am so sorry I can’t pixelate her eyes to hide the identity because I’m talking about makeup and I can’t do that and still make my point and I’m not bad mouthing her.

Whoever did that makeup, obviously makeup class didn’t work for you, try watching tutorials on YouTube. If you still can’t get it right, I suggest you to stop doing makeup for people and start painting on canvas instead.

Yes, yes, I wished I was the one who wrote this letter to John. But, sadly no. It made me so grateful that my John is not a soldier.. I want to write about this movie but honestly there’s nothing really special to it, if you’ve seen The Notebook and A Walk To Remember, you pretty much can guess how this movie ends. But, one thing for sure, John Tyree is so so so hot and I don’t even know if a soldier as hot as that exist in real life, I’ve never seen one before.

If you’ve seen one, let me know. I would like to think that it doesn’t just happen in movies but in real life too! If you’re into romantic film, I think it wouldn’t hurt to watch Dear John, if you liked The Notebook, I’m sure you will love it too, it’s from the same writer Nicholas Sparks. But too often, the book is better than the film so I better check out the book too. And, I must admit, nothing beats P.S. I Love You so far although I’m beginning to lose my obsession on Gerard Butler.

Dear John, is a movie good for crying. I did cry

watching it, who wouldn’t? Imagine you not knowing what’s gonna happen next, wondering if the love of your life is still alive or the other way round. It’s heartbreaking to see two people in love suffer like that. I imagine myself without Internet, Msn or Skype, made me sad just thinking about it. Even though it’s not the same being together in person and just talking to each other everyday, miles apart, but at least you know what the other one is doing and you know he’s doing fine. Nothing more you can ask for.

And, last but not least, how can you not watch the movie to the end if the John look like this?

Birthday Video

I am in the mood to humiliate myself this fine morning. I finally decided to post up this birthday festivity video on this BLOG only (although have to be uploaded to YouTube la). This video will not be seen in Facebook. Malu lah I kalau JW nampak. LOL.

But, speaking of humiliating myself in front of someone I’m trying hard to impress not do anything embarassing, the more I tend to humiliate myself! LOL. Seriously. (biasa lah bah if on the first date or you’re on the stage where you are not comfortable to ~~fart~~, ~~burp~~ or do anything humiliating yet in front of that hottie yet, I’m sure you’ve been in that situation before. Here I am starting all over again on this.) Some of the things that had happened to me were:

1. Di ruang pejalan kaki di tengah-tengah Metro Bangkok, one of my false eyelash floated and he noticed and told me about it! (Insert red-faced emoticon here, I tried to install that plug-in to WLW but it’s not working…boooo!). It’s nice that he told me about it, save me from future embarrassment from passer bys but can you imagine how MEMALUKAN that is for moi? Tapi, nasib baik la dia tergelincir tidak jatuh few hours after that, hehehehe, at least bukan saya jak la yang ada malu moment hari tu.

2. Crossing the road from Warisan Plaza to Le Meridien, I was wearing heels, lucky it’s only a 3” heels so it wasn't that bad. I tak perasan pule ade ~~lubeng~~ lubang kat tengah jalan raya tu (~~excuse the semenanjung slang~~), tak lah besar tapi cukup untuk membuat I termenari kat sana! Oh tidak. Mengapa itu harus berlaku? Walaupun mode muka dia concern tapi I tau… it was DAMN funny and worthy of a ROFL.

Bodies of 21 infants, fetuses dumped in China river

Morning everyone! I stumbled upon this on MSN News. Read on.

Two mortuary workers were detained and two senior hospital staff were sacked in eastern China after the bodies of at least 21 infants and foetuses were found in a river, state media reported Tuesday.

At least eight bodies had tags indicating they were from the hospital of Jining Medical University in Shandong province, Xinhua news agency reported.

Authorities were quoted by Beijing News saying the corpses could have been those of aborted foetuses or babies who had died of illness. They were found on the outskirts of the city of Jining.

Xinhua quoted a spokesman for the city government as telling reporters that two mortuary workers had been sacked in connection with the incident and were in police custody.

Naming the two workers as Zhu Zhenyu and Wang Zhijun, Xinhua quoted the spokesman as saying that the two had been paid to dispose of the bodies.

"Investigations by police and health authorities show that Zhu and Wang had reached verbal agreements privately with relatives of the dead babies to dispose the bodies and charged fees," the spokesman, Gong Zhenhua, said.

"They subsequently transported the bodies secretly to the Guangfu River, but they had failed to bury the bodies completely," he was quoted as saying.

The river was not a source of drinking water for the city and municipal tests found it had not been contaminated, Xinhua reported.

Two senior officials, Li Luning and He Xin, director and deputy director of the hospital's logistics department, were removed from their posts, and a vice president of the hospital, Niu Haifeng, was suspended, Gong said.

The incident exposed "a serious loophole in the hospital's management and indicates a lack of ethics and legal awareness of some hospital staff," Gong said. "It exerts a very negative impact on society and teaches us a profound lesson."

He said the city government had ordered health authorities to immediately launch a general overhaul of body treatment at all local hospitals.

The 21 baby bodies had been cremated, Xinhua reported, quoting Gong. One of the bodies had been bundled into a plastic bag marked "hospital waste", Beijing News said.

Abortion is common in China, where at least 13 million births are terminated every year, due in part to the nation's so-called "one-child policy," which limits most urban couples to just one offspring.

The family-planning rules are widely blamed for fuelling abortions of female foetuses in China, where boys are traditionally favoured.

Reports of poor treatment of patients -- both living and dead -- in China's underfunded hospitals are also not uncommon.

Last June, a hospital in central China's Hubei province was found to have dumped the bodies of two adults and six aborted foetuses at a construction site after failing to locate relatives of the dead, state media reported.

A bag containing severed human limbs was also discovered in the case, in the city of Xiangfan.

I am a SHOES addict. That is however incorrect. The correct term would be a FOOT WEAR addict! I can smell gorgeous foot wears from miles away! I do not have the ability to resist the urge to buy foot wear EVERY month. Doesn’t matter if it’s slippers. sandals, flats, wedges, killer stilettos, boots, you name it. I am always gonna buy something for my feet.

As of now, I think I have over 100 pairs of shoes, and you might think that I have forgotten some of them. You are wrong! I never forget a foot wear that I bought. EVER. So, better think twice before stealing them. LOL.

I’d like to post up a photo of my shoes but sadly, 60% of my foot wear collection is still at C’s place and I am gonna arranged a pick up of those babies very soon. Since I’ve moved to a bigger bedroom, I have enough space for all of them! Yay! Welcome home darlings….

And, I am still waiting for a Prince Charming to buy me these for whatever occasions. Or maybe soon, I will be able to afford it myself!

Anyways, nothing interesting about this entry. I’m just talking cock. I only posted this because I want to share these two photos of very gorgeous stilettos. Ahem, it’s Jimmy Choo so , chances are, I can’t afford it. Yet.

Part 2 : Transformation

Okay…so yesterday I decided its time to commence part 2 of transformation. To those of you who reads this blog, part 1 was work out/ swim to lose tummy fat. I think I sort of accomplish that. Not that Nicole body yet but the main thing is TUMMY FAT gone! (most of it) – by that I mean, I don’t have to hold my breathe and ‘suck in’ my tummy when fitting into a S size pants/ shorts/ skirt.

The Part 2 is, GOING BLACK!! – yes, on my hair. I’ve been trying every other colors for the past 3 years and I think it’s time to go BLACK!! Here’s the before and after picture. Sorry, my before picture is not quite before I colored my hair black, no digicam that time. So, let me dig out something from the past, okay?

You know when you log in to Facebook and leave the chat application online (because sometimes friends that you haven’t heard from in 10 years are online so it gives you the chance to update each other on going ons in your life. I normally just leave my chat application open for that purpose.

In the spirit of social networking, sometimes you just add people that you have never met in person because that is what the purpose of this social networking sites, to get to know more people and make more friends. Plus, I normally add if that person requesting for an add have a lot of mutual friends with me.

And, most of the time, even when you are online on FaceBook it doesn’t mean that you are exploring it or looking, it’s simply just opened for easy access to your FB game application such as FarmVille or Barn Buddy. Saves you the trouble to re-login every time your want to visit your ‘farm’. Am I right?

What I hate about people in Facebook is:

1. Some stupid people that adds you on Facebook randomly because they saw you in “People You May Know Tool” expecting you to ‘layan’ them whenever they say hi to you and gets upset if you don’t reply. I’ve got a news flash for you, CHATTING IS NOT THE ONLY THING I DO and you are not even someone that I know personally to expect super special treatment from me! Having said that, this is one good example:

2. Almost all the so-called photographer who approaches you and say you are photogenic, yada yada yada and expects that you are SO FLATTERED with that compliment and decides to agree on being their model for photo shoot. Don’t get me wrong here, I LIKE some of the photographers that approached me and my nieces for photography session, for example, Gogds and Sinundu Bobohizan, really professional, no bullshit and no hidden agenda. And, just because you have a DSLR doesn’t mean you are a photographer, its just your excuse to get around girls because you can’t get near them without it. Boohoohoo. And, if you are SO PASSIONATE about photography, I’ve got a suggestion for you! Why don’t you shoot these kind of pictures:

1. Animals – you don’t have to do anything to shoot a photo of this cat or bird, but probably you don’t like it cos you can’t jerk off to this photo!

2. Random stuff you see when you travel, such as barbwire

3. Bugs

4. Plants

Or, if not all those maybe photos of people like this:

Hello….I don’t see anything GREAT in this photo. Sorry, don’t misunderstood me, I am not talking about the girl in this photo, I am talking about the photo generally. So girl, if you stumble upon this, it’s not about you. Okay? There’s really nothing special to it compared to those pictures above. Even the location is like shit. And this is what you call PHOTOGRAPHY?

So, my point is, those photo doesn’t really show photography skill at all. It only show how much of a pervert you are. And browsing thru this so called photographer’s photo albums in FB, not one single album did he upload pictures of other things like buildings, animals or plants. It’s always GIRLS!

P/S: I have nothing against girls taking such photos. My disdain is on these photographers, not the models.

Heck! Even my niece, Jacynta R.Lidi can take better pictures than that two!

So, of course, the natural defense of these photographers when or if they see this post is I am jealous because nobody wants to shoot me. Bla bla bla. You can say all you want, but I still stink most of you have stinky/horrible photography skill or no skill at all.

Turning 29

One more year before the big 30.

Last 23rd February I turned 29!! It’s just any other normal day except this year after so many years, someone was not with me to celebrate it. Well, don’t worry, I’m not sad. Just saying, that’s the major difference this year.

So, my birthday started off with flood of Birthday wishes on my Facebook wall and text messages. Thank you to all of you who took time to write something there. Hugs! Thanks also for the virtual birthday gifts, birthday cakes and so on. My boss, Dr. Mornie bought me a small cute birthday cake! First cake of the day ….. Thanks Doc! Mwah x.

And, the day ended with a birthday dinner at our favorite local seafood restaurant in Asia City., sponsored by my two elder brothers:

That basically how my birthday day ended this year. Everyone went home full and happy.

AND THEN…… CAME WEEKEND…WE TURNED INTO OUR ALTER EGO!! – my birthday theme.

My birthday bash was at BED Bar and I also invited a good friend, Justin to join the festivities and he brought four other friends to come along and that made the celebration even more FUN! Check out the photos:

Blaming the I-can’t-be-bothered-to-wash-my-hair-immediately mode!!

My last year in the 20s category. I wonder what next year’s celebration will be like. I hope somewhere far far away from here!

Dear Bride-To-Be : Your Site Is Annoying

Since it is not our culture to create a registry for wedding gifts, I find this quite funny and TERLEBIH SUDAH!

I was on MSN when I stumbled upon an article mocking the wedding website the couples created prior to their wedding. The teaser title, same title i used for this blog entry grabbed my attention so I clicked the link and read it. Anyways, read this article before anything.

So, as you can see, there’s a photo on this article, a sample of annoying wedding website that they were talking about. (FML, before there’s an option to insert picture via URL, now it’s gone, have to save the damn photo before I can post it in blog!) – and I don’t even want to save it! Kanasai… click the picture to be redirected to the website.

Personally, I don’t have any problem with people who create a wedding website. It’s just like any other websites / blog. But, how I wished with all the website tools, applications and widgets available these days to create even more attractive blog/ personal websites, they could at least come up with a better one rather than a boring static HTML website. Yawn. So 1990’s. I remember the first time I had “Develop Your Own Personal Homepage” as a project in college (Freshmen year). Back then, the most up to date tool was either Netscape Composer (a WYSIWYG HTML editor) or Microsoft Frontpage. So, in 2010, I’m not even sure if* they used that to design this website or not but clearly it’s something as plain as that editor! DOUBLE YAWN now.

Other thing is the Photo Gallery arrangement, I don’t know why they didn’t think of adding Photo Albums instead of one picture for each link. They could’ve thumbnailed it for easier navigation. Doh! But, I guess it’s forgivable because there’s a very high possibility that they’re not geeks like yours truly. So, for that, I give them a break Haha.

Now, to the juiciest part of it and the main reason why this entry is here in the first place is the REGISTRY section of the website. If you are interested enough, do check out the website for laughs but to safe you the trouble if you’re not interested, here’s what the bride wrote in that section

“Hello everyone and thanks for thinking about us by checking out our registry. Jim and I already have most everything we need for our new house (the one with the big mortgage that we bought at the height of the market). We registered for some items, listed on the link below. If everything's been gifted, and you still want to get us something, we'd prefer you send a financial contribution, instead of items that aren't on the registry. ;)

LOL. Talk about milking it with a side dish of BRAGGING or is it BRAGGING the main course here? I know right…..its probably just weird for me, I don’t know about you guys, cos like I said this is so not our culture. People at this side of the world do not expect guests to bring wedding gifts for the reception, but it’s only polite to do so. Over here, we want to celebrate the holy matrimony and just wants our family, closest relatives and friends to celebrate the big day with us. Probably, some are aiming for lots of RMs from guests but at least it’s not very obvious like that!

And another juicy part on this section is the registry itself. Well, the bride registered only 3 item, 2 were already fulfilled except for one and I don’t know if anyone will ever gonna fulfill that! Can you guess what it is?? I think NOT. Well… the last registry not fulfilled is a …….

I’m in the mood for Kylie. I know of late my entries are shitty entries. And trust me I’ve been wanting to write something intelligent, fun and something educational but I can’t be bothered because I have other stuff occupying my mind.

1. Hopefully a VERY VERY good news that’s gonna change our lives forever. (The Lidi clan)

2. Holiday in Phuket with JW. Looking forward!!! Seriously.

3. My obsession on getting that body I’ve been dreaming of/ working on. I’m getting THERE!

I remember the phone call as though it were yesterday. It was March 9th, 2006, Thursday morning. I was at work. I suddenly felt the urge to call mom’s mobile. So, that I did, call her mobile. Only, mom did not answer the phone. Dad did. He can’t hear my voice but I can hear him very well so I heard he said “Nancy, au orongou, monolipon kaagu”. So I hung up the phone, and thought, maybe call them after work then. After work, I totally forgot to call back. Around 8.15 p.m, my brother Leo called but I ignored, figured that maybe just asking when I’m gonna buy a car etc etc. Then he texted “Muli noh Tambunan, ouruan tapa sumakit”. So, that made me jumped out of bed and called mom. Mom picked up and I asked bout dad whether he’s really sick or what, to my surprised, made me almost faint “He’s not sick anymore, he died few minutes ago while watching TV”. Mom was in panic, she keeps blaming me for not going back to Tambunan often enough to visit. I guess she’s just rambling, she’s alone and dad just died. That was the last time I heard my dad’s voice.

It’s been four years but it didn’t feel like four years. It still feel like a week ago we buried dad, cried our heart out to the thought that he will not be with us anymore. I really miss my dad. I am really grateful to have such a wonderful dad like him. As the days go by, memories fade. I now find it hard to remember what his voice sounds like. I’m having flashes of short clips as I try hard to recall. Eventually, I think I’ll forget lots of details. But, I guess that’s just how life goes, just wished I made right choices back then.

I want to ask all of you reading this blog, what was the last thing you said to your loved ones before you left them today. But GOD forbids, what if you will never speak to them again? A heart attack? An accident? Who knows. You hear of people dying at the age of 25 from heart attack and parents dying in an accident when going to the shop to buy sugar for teatime. What are the last words that you want to live with for the rest of you life?

“I hate you”? “Why can’t you be like other parents”? “Go away!!”? “I wish you were dead”?

One day they are gonna leave us, that's the fact of life. Why don’t you tell them nice things while you still have the time, and the chance. For it will come like a thief in the night and rob them from you. When was the last time you said I love you, you’re the BEST parents in the whole world. Or maybe a thank you, or a good morning dad and mum, followed with I love very much. Some of you may still have the chance. I don’t. I just have my mum. Just a mother and no father. Think about it, make the right choice, tell them you love them today, now ……..it may just be a phone call away. When life is over there maybe no way to tell them anymore….I wish I still had my dad……..

Quick update!!

Yesterday, Bettie Page (guess who I’m talking about?) shout out in Facebook was “ I'm checking you so hot, so hot, wonder if you know that you're on my radar”. Made me think, that song by Britney Spears immediately reminded me of someone who,in my dictionary, is the exact definition of the song. Its a shame that I can’t put his photo here, it would be wrong to grab someone’s photo from FB profile and publish it somewhere else. But yes, he’s on the photo in my previous entry. But, that doesn’t count because he’s not at his best. Bettie Page was probably thinking of nothing or something else when she shoutout-ed that, but this is what it made me think. Tee hee!

Dilemma…

Ahem.

I’m supposed to blog about my recent super amazing belated birthday celebration down at BED Bar with nieces, close friends and new friends (my theme was alter ego) but I am super excited to share about this dilemma that I am having right now.

Yes. I am in a HUGE dilemma. But, relax, it’s nothing to do with guys, love, relationship, things like that. Quite the opposite actually. I am in a dilemma to pick 3 items that I want for a gift, it’s not BIRTHDAY gifts, speaking of Birthday and Valentine’s gift, the florist have not sent me those two bouquets of flowers that I should’ve received by now (by right, it’s suppose to be drying and dead in my flat as of now but NO, no sign of flower bouquets coming this way anytime). FYI, JW was already charged in his Paypal account.

Now, let’s talk about my dilemma, I am suppose to pick any one item that I like thru three different online stores, I can reveal two of them but the other one should be kept secret. If you are so curious, I guess you can ask me privately tapi ..cis..busy body juga.

1. STRAWBERRYNET.COM (I can pick any one item that I want, actually not exactly ONLY one item but I’d like to just get ONE and not being greedy, in spirit of NOT being a gold digger you know).

Anyways, my eyes are set on these finely packaged fragrances – can’t decide which one!

2. ODGirl – Party dresses are so chio here!! (Help me pick please!!!)

So…this is the dilemma, have to make decision by tonight. *Sigh* Can’t I just have it all??!!
